Been there my friend! That 2" pink foam cut to size in the bottom of a lift basket is a game changer! (just gotta "modify" it a touch to get your foot into actuating pedal). I was a big fan of changing out my socks at lunchtime too! A dry, warm pair made a big difference for the next 5 or 6...- Buckeyedude

Might wanna pull the plug on that lower unit just in case there is some water in there. a quart of of lower unit oil is wayy cheaper than a cracked housing! Its a must up here in yankeeville!- Buckeyedude
