I learned something too: [1] Don't go to live concerts. [2] Make sure the beer is cold when you get back to the camper. I shut my aids off but didn't help much.
Home type slicers are not that expensive. We have one that has been used for several years slicing everything from meat to garden veggies. Even found a new drive bolt & washer for ti on the net. Consistent thickness once set, no numbers to go by just your eyesight to set it the way you want...
I went with Carolyn to a live concert at a large county fair several years ago. Was a country performer that I like his music, Sawyer Brown. Ended up being the most miserable 2 hours I ever sat in front 2 dozen speakers with volume cranked up full blast. The next year the son and I stayed at...
Many years ago I had a friend give me 4 used packing house knives. They wear them down so far then get replacements. Old ones are to be destroyed but no count ever taken. They are stiff blades and take some getting use to. Not for everything but work good for most cutting and hold an edge...
Not familiar with the quality or longevity of the Field company but they are right proud of their pans. I have never bought anything off the auction web sites. Good will, junk shops, antique malls, etc. are where I find decent buys for CI. Monday, I picked up a Chicken Fryer with lid for $60...
Heating a cold CI fry pan with high heat is a good way to warp the pan. Just saying IMO. Heat the pan in the oven at 350 ° or so for 15 min. Remove and place on a burner and run the heat to medium or a bit higher. with oil added. Put the chicken off the smoker in the fry pan and fry till the...
I took a fall outside 2 years ago. Broke a rib and, bone in my hand and bruised heck out of the rest of the ribs. VA decided We needed grab bars installed in the bathroom. After I found out how handy and useful they were we ended up with 4 0r 5 more around the house, top of the basement...
I think your rack and mine are the same brand. Got mine off eBay for just under $100. I checked with the seller and single shelves are not available. I am planning to buy another complete rack and use one shelf for the CI and the main part for my hunting stuff storage. I left the wheels off...
Don't have to look for any brand on a good pan. Wagner made a few tons of thier fry pans without the branding and sold them in hardware and department stores at a lower price. Not collectors but make great user pans. Main thing is checking the bottom to be sure it is flat. Set it on a hard...
Was putting stuff away in the new shooting supply cabinet so put on a couple 78's. Tribute to Glenn Miller by the Benny Goodman Orchestra and a couple other similar records. Found a few 45 sizes but play at 33 country songs that will try next time I am down there.
Have never see a Kroger store in this area. All Hy Vee, Fareway, & Walmart or go 90 miles to a City and fined Aldie's. Walmart never has specials in their grocery line. Other two do regularly and compete against each other a lot of times. Don't do that digital stuff on the phones either...
We have an older but not used Radio, CD, cassette tape and record player that does play the 45's, 78's and 33 1/3 records. I have played several of the 78's. Quality is not the best but considering the age of the records and equipment very enjoyable listening.
We have a stack of 78 rpm records about 2 feet high, mostly dance band and instrumental/vocal from back in the 30's to the 50's era. Ran across them clearing out an old building used for storage for the last 24 years and moving it into a sea can. No interest in 78's anymore so basically...
