Well I'm stumped. I have no idea what the smell could be at this point. I think I would just clean everything at this point and then run the temp to 275 for 5 or 6 hours, let it cool and start over with the seasoning.
That's not bad at all. Like Al said, grates, refoil the water, chip try and drip pan. Leave the rest alone. If that has a glass door (hard to tell from the pic) you should clean it after every smoke.
Check the smoker where the fire box attaches to the cooking chamber and make sure the attachment screws are tight and the FB is flush with the CC. I've seen that model warp there and leave a gap that you could see through.
Last home I lived in had a smokehouse out back courtesy of the previous owner. I refurbed it and was smoking a few hams and the next morning when I went out to check how things were going, the door was open and every ham was gone. I don't think it was any of the neighbors so I suspect a 4 legged...
"checked the transmitter, which was placed on top of the smoker."
That's not the best of ideas. Heat is a real killer of electronics. If you have to place it there, take a Bradley rack and place it upside down on the cooker and put your electronics in a ceramic plate placed on the rack. That...
While I applaud your willingness to improve your cooker, like forluvofsmoke said, moving your exhaust to the lower side is a really bad idea.
When you say "Dyna Glo vertical smoker", I assume that you mean the DGX780BDC-D 36" vertical and not the 47" vertical offset. The 36" has the firebox...
Wash the cooker with Dawn and water. Dry it out. Skip the oil, stainless doesn't need it nor will it penetrate the metal (hence the smelly gunk you currently have). Fire it up with your wood of choice and run the temp up to about 300+ for 3-4 hours. Avoid that thick white billowy smoke, just the...
I don't have a Party but I do have an old Patio (discontinued years ago) and I ran into the same problem with variation from top to bottom. I just got to the point where I swapped shelves every so often. The shelves on the patio weren't held in by anything, so moving them was pretty easy.
The MES 30 Gen 1 has an 800 watt element, so 10 amps should be OK.
****DISREGARD**** he has a 40, I have no idea what element he has. Being larger I would imagine he has a 1200 so 10 would be pushing it.
It's the fat and the beer (mostly beer) that causes the increase. The smoking does nothing. Don't throw your smoker away, just moderate your beer intake and watch the fat.

Side effects
Overdose can cause cardiac arrhythmia and dangerously low blood pressure. Milder side effects include nausea and sedation.[19] Patients taking digoxin should avoid taking hawthorn.
That would depend. The gall itself would not prevent me from using the wood but if its been treated with pesticides to combat the gall I would shy away from using it.
To be clear, on an untreated tree I would discard the branches that have gall on them.
