Ever crave those ole tv dinners?

That, and the cherry pie, was another pocket of superheated plasma. You dare not eat that until the end

I’ve About Had It Around Here!!

I spend a good amount of time here just researching what I did 8 years ago so I can do it again. Then I run across other things and even then..

    Soup Forum?

Awesome! I like the new forum as I do a lot of dutch oven delights. Heck, I got some mighty fine Piedmont steaks from Robert @tx smoker for Xmas gift and my son still wants my gumbo for his 18th B-day. We do need to edit the title though..

Ever crave those ole tv dinners?

One house, two parents, three sisters and me looking at one TV. Had the folding tables, Swansons on the menu and settling down for a night of MASH, Barney Miller, Bob Newhart, all in the family and The Jeffersons. My veggies were cold, the potatoes were scalding, the salisbury steak was amazing...

What are you making for new years?

Don't know about the food. It's my sons' 13th b-day on the 30th and 18th b-day on the 31st and the eldest hasn't told me what he wants. Either way we'll eat good, I'm gonna get pickled and make a hell of a mess launching fireworks with the neighbors in the cul-de-sac..

    Smoking with Russian Olives

Rodger.. welcome to the forum and thanks for resurrecting this one. I've never heard of using olive tree wood so I am completely ignorant on this one. - Pete

Dumb holiday errors in judgement again.

Or toss in a little binder like short grain rice. Kinda like a casserole rolled up in pork loin. @pineywoods .. When did I become the SANDWICH KING? I am humbled to wear the crown..

    Wife's Christmas Present

I was looking at that gerase dump too and comparing it to my BS rear drain. Somehow I can see my shrimp, chicken and other things I toss around jumping in there like lemmings.. I would turn that griddle. Just be sure to take your time and get it super clean, dry and then seasoned right the first...

I think you just coined the name for the pork melt sandwich.. The Charley Foxtrot .. mixed with prepared pork loin served on toasted sourdough bread. $10

Dumb holiday errors in judgement again.

Kinda, but deviled ham is just that, ham, therefore it is cured. That is fully cooked but it should come out about the same or better. It has all the flavors you want in a nice spread or "pork melt" instead of tuna melt..

Dumb holiday errors in judgement again.

If you really don't like it that way.... I'm thinking tossing it in a processor a little at a time and whipping up a nice cracker spread or "pork melt" sandwich with a slice of tomato grilled in a skillet.

    Rotisserie question

What I've done when I had my spinners is to Load the spit with whatever you are turning. Set it in the mounts but not in the motor. Let the spit spin freely so the heavy side settles to the bottom. Now tighten the counterweight on the spit so it is positioned straight up. turn the spit 90...

    Ok, show those Christmas scores!

    Christmas prime rib leftovers.

Thanks.. I gotta get my camera up to speed. All my pics look blurry to me. Indeed. I love to repurpose leftovers and the herb /garlic rub I had on the roast, along with the carmy red onion and tender meat came together for the best cheesesteak sliders I've ever made.

    Christmas prime rib leftovers.

I might be on the leading edge of this as we had our Christmas dinner on the 24th for work schedule reasons. So today, I came back from work early since it was a slow day... wifes at work, so I figured it's time for leftovers. I busted out the rest of the prime rib and sliced, trimmed and diced...

    What’s Your Avatar?

Never been aboard ship.. I've just been in aviation a long time. Pretty much safe to approach that bird at a 90 to block the nose and or the mains. Not so much with 15, 16, 18's etc.
