Smoking with pine?
Never tried it but have heard about people using Aspen. I would look into that more. Pine isn't a good choice from everything I have heard- jeepdiver

Pellet Smoker Smoke Cycle
Your not going to get a pellet grill to continually put out smoke. The smoke comes after the fire has died down, when new pellets are added and they begin to smolder they smoke. Then they ignight into flame which is going to have very little smoke. Pellet feeds slow down, the fire dies down...- jeepdiver

Anatomy of a Brisket Packer
I bought a choice packer for 3.98 a lb 3 weeks ago. The trimmed flat was 5.99. The packer needed some trimming but not a lot. Looked at Walmart a few times and they had choice packers for 2.99 but looked like they could easily run 30% loss after trimming -

Because you add up the prices from a different source, doesn't mean they are the same for ebay. Ebay gets a cut of anything that is sold on their site. RT nor anyone else is going to sell something direct for 10 bucks where they get all 10 dollars, then sell it on eBay for 10 and only get 9...- jeepdiver
