I have this same model, and have done the basic mods.  Put fire rope on the fire box, cooking chamber, and RTV to seal all the small cracks.     Yeah, it appears to be the same. I did notice that about their site, they don't mention the 83t on there at all, just the 80t. For the most part, it seems the same to me, just a few differences.
