So it sounds like Lake Loiusa isnt a good alternative. Doing some Map Searches for similar areas i came up with this short list Alafia River State Park Little Manatee State Park Kississimee Prairie State Park Weeke Wachee State Park Colt River State Park Anyone have any knowledge of these? -

Howdy all! OK...so some bad news. I just called HH and the ranger told me the park is closed this entire year. He seemed pretty hurried to get off the phone so maybe i'll get a 2nd opinion tomorrow or Monday.... So do we need a new location? Postpone? We started this gathering at Fish Eating... -
Recipe needed for jerky using Morton Tender Quick in mariande form
I started years ago using 1tbs TQ for 3 lbs of meat, now I use only 1 tsp for 3 lbs. I slice the meat 3/16" and add the TQ to whichever of my marinades and let it sit in the fridge for 24-48 hours.- dougmays

**UPDATE** This year's gathering will be at Hardee County Lake Park (https://app.fireflyreservations.com/Kiosk/Property/HardeeLakesPark) the 2nd weekend of December, 12/12-12/14. Highland Hammock is undergoing some repairs/upgrades and are likely closed the remainder of 2025. Looking forward... -
