Tried your discard starter loaf recipe yesterday, BGKYSmoker. Probably could have left it in the over for a couple more minutes, but it still came out pretty good.

Just checked my local Safeway. Ground beef 80/20 is on "sale" for $7.49 lb, normally a buck higher. Regular gas is $3.85. Eggs $7-$10 a dozen, depending on brand.
Sonic recently came into my area. I tried one of their burgers, and all I could think of was that it tasted like a school cafeteria burger. And that's not a good thing.
I love 1923, but I can't help but think that Sheridan is dragging it out this season. I hope it doesn't end unresolved, and we have to wait another 2 years for season 3.

I read 2 news articles yesterday, about how the prices of gasoline and eggs have plummeted recently. Huh? Where's that at? Certainly not in my neck of the woods. Prices have been consistently high here for many months. Fake news!
I bought a dried commercial starter a while back and decided to revive it about 5 weeks ago. After religiously feeding and tending it for all that time, it just sat there in the mason jar, like a pancake batter. I'd get a bubble or two if I was lucky. But I stubbornly stuck with it.
