    Smok'in Meat Loaf

I don't want any of you guys to think anything dirty, but my wife has prepared and is now smoking meat loaf on the Yoder pellet smoker. She also has put on a batch of poblano peppers some of which she stuffed with mozzarella cheese and a big potato for baking. I posted her recipe a little while...

    spaghetti question

One pound of pasta should, should feed four especially if you are serving red sauce with meatballs and sausage. Considering the price of pasta, and the way people eat these days, I would pick up 3 more packages as a backup plan.

You know Aaron Franklin, don't ya. He does all those videos on YouTube that teach you how to cook ribs...

I'm from the San Antonio area of Texas and my family prefers Tri Tip sirloin over brisket. Our Tri Tip recipe calls for cooking the meat rare to medium rare like this. Brisket on the other hand is a tough cut of beef and requires very long cooks that will tenderize the meat during the...

    Looking for a new gauge

Go to the website that starts with an "A" and look up thermometers. For a brand name look at Tru Tel for a smoker thermometer and you might want to look at Maverick and Thermopen as the best of its class although Thermoworks does have a remote thermometer that competes with Maverick but it is...

    Sunday Tri Tip

Tri Tips are not common to supermarkets in the San Antonio area. I get my Tri Tip from a local meat market and they sell them for $5.79 per lb. Considering that rib eye is $7.99 per lb., this is not such a bad price for a wonderful steak dinner. Ed

    Sunday Tri Tip

About three weeks ago, I tried my first Tri Tip Sirloin roast. The results, in my opinion, were excellent as we cooked the meat till it was rare to medium rare. Delicious! Very tender and a great flavor. So, since Wednesday, I have been marinading another Tri Tip with a mixture of rub and...
