So, Len I read your post and Ribwizzards and then stopped into lowes. They didn't have high temp rtv. So I got some fire block stuff. Just put it on and was reading the label again and it is not for exterior use and can't be exposed to water. So we will see how long it lasts then I will replace...
Yeah. It is usually just my 7yo son and I eating bbq My wife doesn't eat too much meat but she likes a smoked turkey now and then. A rack or two of ribs is all we usually need at once.
Definitely need to seal it up will stop and grab some rope.
The cook chamber is decent for what I am doing...
Thanks for the ideas and help guys it was a lot of fun to build.
So much nicer to cook on than my old vertical drum style cheapy. Got a bit more to finish on it but I do love the way it smokes.

Door finished. Legs attached and the bottom supports bent up.
