Where to get sand for smoker (besides a beach!)?
A few other quick helps, since I just converted mine last week. Make sure you use play sand and not all purpose. Play sand is washed and filtered, all purpose is not. Thanks for the suggestions as to how to modify my smoker. I have already swapped the water pans for sand. Also learned about the safety feature on the regulator. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Tommy and I live in Asheville NC. Just got a smoker for Christmas and am just starting to learn the ways.
