    Grill Height

    I put a set of bolts through at 3" from the top and another set 9" from the top so that I can run 2 cooking racks at one time or I can use the bottom set of bolts (9") for large items like turkeys.  Hope this helps. spinner

    burn out

    Brush out/clean out the inside residue, sand the outside clean and then wipe it with denatured alcohol and paint it.  Coat the inside with whatever cooking oil/grease you want, I use the canola spray in a can from Wally World and you're good to go.

    GALVANIZED NIPPLES

    I use a mapp gas torch and heat the parts up to red hot.  The galvanizing vaporizes and the base steel is a black color afterwards.

    How did you come up with your screen name?

    I got mine in '74 at the start of the CB craze.  I was a young State Trooper, back then we were  'Patrolman', and we needed a handle to talk on the CB.  I tried to figure out something that made sense and then I remembered the 'winged wheel' on the side of the patrol cars and the 'spinningwheel'...

    New guy from North Coast of Ohio

    Hi all; Just signed in and looking forward to learning a few things while I still can.  Been retired now for nearly 3 years and did all my previous outdoor cooking on a gas burner.  Received an ECB for Fathers Day last year and got hooked on smokin' the meats and veggies instead of cremating...
