    furniture dolly stand

I absolutely apologize in advance because I am sure this ground has been covered.  However, I just cleaned out the garage and found 2 furniture dollies that could easily become a smoker stand. They are just the cheapo wood with carpet/Harbor Freight stands.  I was just going to cut some plywood...

    another maverick probe question

OK  I got myself the 732 and it seems awesome except for one thing.  I set the probes next to each other (meat and internal) and they are off by about 5 degrees from each other.  I did not put the meat probe in any meat but left it sitting in the chamber right next to the internal probe.  Is...

I ditched the water pan and am up to about 240 wide open.  I am going to check that safety valve now.  I hope one of those is the magic trick.

ridiculously low temps on a masterbuilt propane smoker

Hey gang!  I have a 40" masterbuilt propane smoker and I am struggling.  I fired it up after it sitting for 2-3 months unused.  I am in California where the air temp is 70 degrees and humidity is 52%.  In theory, I should be having a good smoking day.  HOWEVER, my rig will not get above 220 wide...

    sand safety????

Hey ya'll.  I just purchased me a 50 lb back of quikrete all purpose sand.  I didn't read the package until I got home and it was saying some jive about having chemicals that cause cancer.  I did some research and the best I can understand is that all sand has this going on.  SOOOO, I rinsed my...

    Two turkeys-one smoker

He he!  I couldn't help the title.   Anyway, I am going to toss two turkeys in the smoker for thanksgiving and I am stuck and at a loss on this one. One turkey is for my family and one is getting cut up and put in the freezer.   My brain says, "Two turkeys should require the same time as one...

    Back to smoking!

What's up!?!  Matt here from Los Angeles area.  I have been smoking off and on for years and got away from it because I got tired of chasing the temp around on my charcoal brinkman smoke n grill.  Don't get me wrong, I loved the results, but I hated the constant tending.  Anyhow, I was in...

Brand New MPS and new to this forum-Chickens on day 1

Hi everybody!  Matt from Los Angeles.  I was using a bullet type smoker (Brinkmann smoke n grill) for years but I got tired of trying to control temps.  I made the switch to the MPS (if that is what I am reading you guys call a masterbuilt propane smoker).  I put it together yesterday, seasoned...
