Just my 2 cents. Unless you plan to dry hop or use whole fruit additions, secondary is not necessary. It just adds another point in time for possible infection. Leave it in primary for the whole fermentation. You should check your FG after 2-3 weeks ( dependent on style) and if you get the same...
This summer I've brewed a strawberry blonde and a raspberry wheat. Great warm weather beers. Here is a pic of the latter in secondary. I'm an all grain brewer now but like most, started with extract.

Hey all. just got myself an ECB.
After lots of reading, I managed to add a real thermo and drill my coal pan. Started my test burn this afternoon @ 4pm. By 4:45 it heated up to 275 degrees. Another 20 minutes later and it was 250. And its now 830, and it STILL at 250, original load of lump...
So I got my ECB 2 days ago, immediately drilled holes in the charcoal pan. In the middle of my first test burn. I used lump, 3/4 chimney full, and dumped onto a 3/4 full pan or unlit lump. I am almost 2 hours in and its been sitting @ 250 for the last 90 minutes. My question is this, how would I...
