    New comer

I have finally stopped trying to time a smoke to end at a pre-planned meal time. If I were you, I'd cook on the 3rd, refrigerate and warm the BBQ in ziplock freezer bags in a hot water bath.

First Build - RF 200 Gallon LP

An update since my initial start here 2 months ago. A look back: I love to cook. 2 years ago, I was asked to cook in a contest locally. I cooked on a Lang 108 and took 1st Place in Ribs! ($500) I have been wanting a RF ever since. So, I took the plunge. A local LP Gas dealer gave me a lead on...

    Got my 200 gallon tank

Well, mine turned out to be a 200. So if that suits you I have a neighbor who runs Mallard Steel. He has 5 more of these and he's asking $100 each. They have been cleaned, purged and painted.

RF Plate, Welded in or Removable?

Good luck with yours brother! I'm pretty excited about this. I've been cooking for years, but I was ruined 2 years ago by a chance encounter with a Lang RF 104" where I won 1st place in ribs at a contest here locally. I've been on the RF seeking trail since. I'm pretty mechanical and decided to...

RF Plate, Welded in or Removable?

What size cooker are you building? I'm picking up a 250 gallon tank tomorrow morning. I know how you feel about wanting to utilize the info here without asking the same stuff over and over. I'm brand new and not wanting to get screamed at for that like some forums do...lol

Loin ribs, or so the package said.

Always heard the difference was in the size of the rack. I think BB are 1.5lbs per rack max. Anything over that is a loin back rib. But the same cut. That's from studying caused by this same dilemma... I like loin back, but St Louis trumps all for me. Nice looking chunka meat whatever you wanna...

    Got my 200 gallon tank

Hello! I live in Muscle Shoals, AL. I'm a long time cook and mainly use a very heavy rolled steel custom grill. I make good BBQ and I say that with the credit given to all the poor pigs I ruined while learning along the way. I've been really wanting a big Lang for a few years, but have never...
