    Thank you for your help. What if I put it on the grill late afternoon the day before with charcoal and wood chips for a few hours. Then wrap it in foil and put it on the gas grill real low overnight?

    I want to smoke a brisket for lunch on Fathers Day. But I don't want to get up at 2:00am to start it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. FYI: I do not have a smoker, I have a large charcoal grill and a 6 burner gas grill.
