hfitch, I agree on thsize of the MES 30. i originally got a Cajun Injector which is essentially a MES 30 and upgraded to the MES 40 before i even opened the box. Just curious, but why are you switching to propane?

Which one did you end up getting? How do you like it? I got the Cajun Injector for Christmas, but haven't opened the box yet. I'm thinking about returning the CI and getting the MES30 depending on the feedback.
Yes, I'm in the same boat. I read some older reviews saying the heating element broke after a short while, but they have made some upgrades in 2012, so this issue may have been fixed. Thanks for the info.
I'm in California. I received a Cajun Injector smoker for Christmas and know nothing about smoking. I'm trying to find info on the smoker before I open the box and can't return it. Can anyone give me some pro's and con's on this unit?
