I did a test ru with straight hickory busted in small splits stated on kf blue in a chimney seemed to do real good. Im going to give it another shot before long and see how it does on a long smoke. Thanks everyone for the guidance

I agree with chef jimmyj i have a mes30 and turned out some excellent PP but no smoke ring I also cook with a dry chamber (no water in the pan) and it produces a great bark
Get wit Todd he will more than likely send you a replacement or something. I've had my Maverick et732 for a few months now and used it many times since don't know how ive done without it

Fill the water pan with sand or pea gravel and cover with foil it makes the temp more stable and easier to control i done this in my Smoke Hollow and couldn't be happier

Heres my way but you have to try it yourself to see if its what you like, i don't trim a thing off my butts they are already as lean as they need be imho i just rub my meat with the rub and let it sit while waiting for the smoker to come up to temp then throw it on and let it go. I dont mess...
Thanks smoker thats for sure on the feast there is always a lot of great looking food on this site theres always too many things to try its sure gonna make a fat man out of me. Anything cooked outside on the smoker or the grill is one of my weaknesses
