    I am using the same size tank for my build. I did not do a trailer simply because it is too big to fit at my house and built a simple cart. My tank was open for a long time, years and had no propane smell. I would defer to others with more experience regarding cutting it. Good luck and enjoy...

    Thanks, I don't want to cut yet. I think I can make 80% if I do the slide on the bottom. I can also add 1 or more on the side as well but would like to avoid it if possible. Joe

    Few more updates.  Did the burn out, it took about 6 or 7 beers long.  Had to keep it down, I live in a residential neighborhood and didn't want the fire dept to make a stop over.
