Yeah, if I could find one of the older ones I might still buy it but they have sort of turned me off with having problems with these newer units for a few years now and not fixing them. Smokin-it and Cookshack are on the list along with Smokin Tex.- jerkin

Haven't been on the forum or done any smoking for a while but finally saved enough money to upgrade to a better smoker than my old $50 Brinkmann that has no heat control. I went ahead and ordered one of the MES 40 new generation smokers on Amazon earlier this week. I was busy for a few days...- jerkin

Thanks for all the advice guys, very helpful. I did freeze the grinder before doing the meat and had the stuffer in the refrigerator (no more freezer room, lol) as I saw on some other posts. These also turned out much better after sitting in the refrigerator for a few days, still not the best... -

Thanks guys. I like the seasonings but definitely want to try some other kinds. My buddy had some today and loved them, told me not to change anything, lol. My smoker holds a steady 200 degrees and I have no way of regulating the heat aside from opening the door but I was afraid to do that... -
