Newbie - smoking on a recent Weber gas grill...?

Thanks all.  We ended up getting a PBC. I have done a few racks of St Louis ribs, a brisket (21lbs before trimming!), and the Thanksgiving turkey. It works great.

WSM 18 vs PBC - Newbie research summary

What's the difference in taste? Sometimes I get the impression from reading posts that the PBC is more of a cooker whereas the WSM is more of a smoker (obviously they have a big overlap). Is that true?

WSM 18 vs PBC - Newbie research summary

All, I'm in the process of researching my first smoker and I am gravitating towards the WSM 18 or the PBC. I have been reading everything I could on those two, and I am trying to list the advantages the two models have on each others. I would probably buy from Amazon or direct, so the prices...

    PIT BARREL COOKER

Complete newbie question: has anyone tried to set-up the coals in a C-shape (fuse / snake method) to control the burn rate and maybe lower the temp?

Thanks, I'll try elevating the meat. It should give me another option in terms of temperature too, as it should be a little higher than at the grate. The elevated gril on the Summit is probably big enough to accommodate any flat cute of meat, incl. a small brisket.

Newbie - smoking on a recent Weber gas grill...?

All, Hello from Seattle.  I would like to smoke on our Weber Summit grill. I tried to smoke a small brisket last week-end, and it was a disaster (it took much longer than 1 1/2hr / lb at 225). I have a few general questions: 1) What is the best way to smoke for several hours in such a gas...

    Newbie - smokeless in Seattle...

Hi everyone, Newbie for grill & smoking. We own a Weber Summit gas grill but no smoker for now. My interest in joining this community is in finding out how to best use that gas grill for smoking. I tried a small piece of brisket (4lbs) last week-end and it was a semi-disaster...
