watch your draft. its been a while since i used the dust, but i had the same problem. try getting your temp down around 175 and choke it by setting your draft contol device shut. That should get ya some nice thick smoke.

Normally i use store bought bags of chunk hickory. Now that im building a 250 gallon rig i need to acquire logs. Does it matter what type of hickory i use? I have shag bark hickory trees on my property. Has anyone ever used that type? Is there a commercial source for logs or do i need to strike...
