I did not measure it, but it is as wide as the grill and about 12" deep. So, with that and the side shelf I have plenty of room. Just my opinion. If you are going to buy the cover, you will find that it barely covers the front shelf. I use a couple of heavy duty magnets to hold the cover over...
Obviously a lot comes down to personal preference, but I will put in a plug for the GMG Prime. I bought a GMG DB Prime WIFI 2 weeks ago. I have no idea how it will hold up over time, but so far it's great. I have made chicken quarters, a couple of racks of St. Louis ribs, some pizzas, a small...
Mine does not "screech" either. Really the only time that I would say that it is somewhat loud is when it first feeds pellets during the startup. After that it is really quite quiet in my opinion. I would say that the fans are louder than the auger. I have no problem with the volume of the sound.

I just picked up a Prime Daniel Boone WIFI on Saturday. I cooked chicken quarters on Saturday and St. Louis Ribs on Sunday. The ribs were the best I have ever smoked. The grill worked perfectly. There is some fluctuation in the temperature if you try to run at the extreme low end (150F), but...
For the first couple of cooks I just tried out the GMG Gold Blend. I see that you like Smoke Ring. Do you recommend a particular flavor? I typically like a stronger smoke flavor in my meat. I don't think the Gold Blend is going to be strong enough to suit me. I would appreciate any input on this...
I just got one of the new GMG Daniel Boone Prime WIFI units on Saturday. So far I have smoked chicken quarters and a couple of racks of ribs on it, and so far it has worked fantastically. The ribs were the best I have ever made.
