    What's your occupation?

    I worked for a large oil company and was the one whose phone rang in the middle of the night when all heck was breaking loose. Retired for 8 years.

    How did you come up with your screen name?

    I lived in the Virgin Islands for 50 years and love the local cooking, Fungi is a side dish based on cornmeal made like a soft dumpling. Good with anything that has some gravy. Fungi and steam fish is to die for.

    Where in NC are you hailing from?

    I just moved to Fearrington Village between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro. I have used a Lil Chief Smoker for  40 years and have an Old Smokey on order.

    I have an Old Smokey on the way and I am also curious about the problem of not getting the chips smoking if you are at low temp. I have had a Lil Chief smoker for over 40 years and bought the Old Smokey so I could do brisket.
