    FieldHouse Smokers Oyster Deluxe

Oh, very nice...  so you could put a water pan right on top of the baffle in the middle and not lose a rack in the process. Thanks for the pics.

    Heart of Texas Smoker!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah? Well, your football team sucks and your Momma still dresses you funny... But, even this Sooner thinks that smoke ring is nothing short of beautiful... Fine looking Q you got there, and I'd sit down with you any day over that BBQ and we could yell at each other about football. :)

    Weber Performer Questions

I don't have the performer (yet :)) but I use the 22.5" Kettle and I won't grill without using my baskets.  Like you said, it's either they are together forming a "circle" for direct heat or separate on either sides for indirect. Honestly, I use the indirect most of the time unless I'm doing...

    FieldHouse Smokers Oyster Deluxe

I'm here in Norman and I've been stalking the FieldHouse Smokers for a little while now...  Only a matter of time before I pull the trigger.  lol On the Oyster Deluxe, is there some sort of baffle or diffuser between the firebox and the grill area?  Of all the pics I can find on the internet...

What is a good second meat to smoke?

Darn it, I knew someone would ask. :/  lol.  I was working so hard to get things going that I didn't get any before pics... and I had planned after pics, but the food went so fast that by the time I thought about it, there was nothing left but the memories. I promise pics of my next musical...

What is a good second meat to smoke?

My favorites have become brisket, baby back ribs, and smoked chicken legs/wings. Here's what I did this weekend for my OU football watch party of 14 people.  I mention it because I was preparing 3 different types of meat and had to get creative with my equipment. I had a 4.5 pound flat...

Dusted off my Weber Kettle Grill for father's day weekend w pics

Holy Cow! What I would give to get a hold of a dark red 22.5" Weber Kettle.  Wow.... I just bought my first Kettle a little over a month ago and I'm now looking back on all of the hours and meat I wasted grilling on something other than a Weber Kettle.  I am seriously eaten up with it.  In...

    Brisket with Qview

Thanks everyone...  It was a GREAT meal.  There were 3 adults and we killed 16 wings, a 2.5 pound brisket, pound of potato salad, pound of garlic herb taters and a pound of corn. lol.  Had 3 little slices of brisket left when we were done.  So, I took that as an indicator that it didn't suck.

    Brisket with Qview

Did a brisket this weekend on the weber and it was my first run with the smokenator. Rather than a dry rub, I went with a thick marinade consisting of: I poured it in a gallon ziplock with the 2.5 pound flat brisket and let it set in the fridge overnight. Put it on the grill with the...

My Fire Pit/ Mini UDS smoker UPDATED!

Yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about on the bricks... I have them for my flower beds.  I've always wanted a firepit like that, but to see how you used it as a smoker made me even more stoked.  I kind of always figured those bricks would be fine, just hadn't seen a firepit I liked...

My Fire Pit/ Mini UDS smoker UPDATED!

Damn you filthy horn...  That pit and smoker look awesome, and now I want one.  lol. Did you use fire rated bricks for the pit itself, or are those just normal landscaping bricks?
