As an update, I have learned that it's possible to love frozen fries. Ordinarily, I'm a fresh-potato guy, but I picked up some frozen Great Value crinkle-cut fries, and they were really good. They were good enough to make it not worth it to slice up potatoes and fry them twice in the future.
