    FINISHING SAUCE (for Pulled Pork)

I'd make the sauce ahead of time and let it sit, melding the flavors together.  Eastern NC bbq sauce is a very similar sauce,  i make mine a week ahead and sit it on the counter. At least once a day i'll go by and give it a good shake.  Just about any NC BBQ joint you go into will have this type...

    Whats your favorite BBQ sauce?

Homeade is best but my family recently did a taste test of commercial brands, the first of several we will do.  We tried the following: Sticky Fingers Carolina sweet Kraft Regular Sweet Baby Rays Original Bullseye Kansas City Bone Suckin sauce The results  were interesting. Here are the...

    Just a summer beer...

Summertime i like an amber type beer overall. I will drink a darker beer however.  I'm not a fan of SA summer ale, Blue Moon, Shock Top, etc. I'd rather have a Bud Black Crown, SA Light, Molson, Moosehead, etc.

    best beer for BBQ

Depends on the time of year for me. I'm not an IPA guy at all, way to bitter for me. I'm probably most fond of amber types overall but do enjoy a good stout/porter in the winter. Here are some i like: Bud black crown-don't laugh, its actually a decent easy drinking brew with more flavor/color...

Master Forge Electrice Smoker got wet, blue power light is flashing, but no heat

I have one of those and after some reading different places i'm anal about bringing it inside my covered porch on when rain is in the forecast. Had 3 smokes so far, butt and ribs, no problems. Hope you get it straightened out.

    FINISHING SAUCE (for Pulled Pork)

You can put any hot sauce or other seasoning in it you want. I use a little Texas pete hot sauce in mine. IMO its good without any seasoning/hot sauce. Most typical NC sauces, which this is, don't add that part.

    FINISHING SAUCE (for Pulled Pork)

After reading all the glowing reviews of this sauce i finally checked the recipe to see what it was made of.  To my pleasant suprise it's essentially a Carolina sauce. The basic Eastern NC sauce is simply Vinegar, Salt, Red Pepper flakes, and Black Pepper. Some folks add Brown Sugar to it,myself...
