    I am going to try and finish this thing up this week. I have a major question. Would it hurt anything to set the bottom of the firebox on the trailer ( get the rest of the trailer to hot ) ? Or should I just let the firebox hang off of the back with only my welds holding on?

    According to the pit calc. for a 250 gal. tank a 26 X 28 X 28 firebox would be close to ideal.

    Hogwart, I hope you get really good answers because I am having the same problem. Have you tried heating the door and using a chain and jack or a hammer. To use the chain hook the chain to something sturdy so that it will lay across the door where it needs bent , put the jack between the door...

    Niniron got me going on the pics I hope. Now that I know how to post q-views I will do it more often. The only things I have left to do are mount the firebox , stack and mount it all to the trailer.

    Niniron, your firebox in 3/16" thick. 1/8" might burn out or warp pretty quick. Nice job on the welding! You will be a pro soon!

    Pep I also am building a reverse flow and if I am not mistaken for it to be a reverse flow it has to have a side firebox ( offset ).

    Thanks Dirt Guy. I knew I had seen it but could not find it. Now the build can officially start, I will be picking up the metal tom after work. The trailer is ready and the tank is cleaned and ready.

    Also which high temp paint should I use? I do not want to paint it black. I am looking at Stove Bright but I would rather be able to buy it local. What about hight temp engine paint.
