    Scarbelly Wings (Buffalo Style)

Having grown up in WNY, outside of Buffalo I know a good wing when I see one... all I can say is nice work throughout this thread! I just came in to check out what others are doing to see if I could improve on my own method(s). I gotta say there are some awesome ideas in here. That's one thing I...

2013-06-09 - Pizza night on the Weber Gold

Here's my dough recipe. I use King Aurthur Bread Flour and pizza yeast if I have it. It's the bomb, IMO. A basic "Big Apple" pizza dough recipe. This pizza dough is built for that signature thin-crust, "fold-able" slice New York is famous for. Yields: 1 large or 2 small pizzas Prep Time...

    Canned Craft Beers

I do a bit of fly fishing as well and enjoy a cold beer once I'm off the stream too. The other nice thing about these canned micros is the flavor they add to beer can chicken, delicious.

    Christmas Turkey

YB- I haven't fished Burt in years either. My brother (guides Green River, UT/ fish, private ranch, CO/elk) and my old man fish there regularly. Apparently it's blown up in popularity in recent years. My bro who fishes some amazing places says it's still one of his favs. I've done alot of...

    Christmas Turkey

I forgot the "cooler" tip, thanks. We are staying home so it's just my wife and kids... no rush and can eat at any time but that's a great thought. At 4-5 hours though I should have plenty of time. Again, thanks!  Sanborn, NY eh? I grew up in Lockport and have family on the lake over in Burt...

    Christmas Turkey

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to get it going Xmas morning either pre-gifts or post. Have a 5 & 2 y.o. so they'll be unstoppable. I'm planning on letting it thaw until tommorow mid-day, it's been in the fridge for at least 48 hours but still pretty frozen. I'll brine it overnight and toss it...

    Christmas Turkey

Hey all-  I'd like some help from those in the know. I've read various threads concerning thawing, brining and smoking my bird. I've got a 12 lbs'er thawing in the fridge right now, it's still got a ways to go. I'm thinking of finishing the thaw in cold water then brining tomorrow. Questions...

    Canned Craft Beers

Are you all aware of the beauty that is micro-brewed, canned beer? Dale's Pale Ale (an IPA), Ranger IPA, Modus Hoperandi, Avery IPA... all out of CO. The can is the way to go. Keeps light out, new liners that keep the beer away from the can. I take canned beer mountain biking with me and gotta...

    Question on Cabela's 7-in-1 Cooker/Smoker?

Thanks for the info.  Could you do a medium sized turkey in there? Does the lower rack work or would you say it's too close to the heat?Have you had any trouble with the flame going out on windy days? Could I get a pizza stone in it. I appreciate the info and damn, love this forum already!
