I eventually screwed all the bolts in completely so I could get the 2nd grill grate and water pan out easily. The very bottom grate (you can see it under there holding the water pan) however had to be put in before the nuts and bolts or it would not get past those. If I ever have to take it out I will have to unscrew one or two.
