Look in the want ads from your local newspaper. There should be somebody selling firewood and advertising it there. I just picked up a load of hickory for $40, split and ready to use. It filled the box of my pickup ( shortbox Chevy ). I buy wood from this guy at least once a year. He sells a lot of ash ( emerad ash borers are an issue around here so lots of ash trees are being dropped ), maple, oak and when I get lucky, hickory. Good luck. Peace, Wanbli

I agree Wanbli. Look for a local person that sells firewood. I picked up a S10 full of red oak for $25. I just put in an order for more cherry wood. I like the mixture on oak and cherry on most everything.
