OMG where have the Vacuum Sealers been all my life? LOL..... Well I put this here were it I thought most approperiate its should be with canning and preservation.
Saturday afternoon FedEx appears and I have a box. Tear that hummer open and I got my Christmas present, a new toy! AND perfect timing with all this sausage and andouille.
I know there are other types, maybe better maybe not, but this is what I settled on. I bought my Mom a Vacuum Sealer from a guys demostrating them in a Sears store 40+ years ago. Never worked worth a squat but Mom, being Mom always had it out on the counter!
After some digging around and being whipped in submission between a slicer and a sealer, did my homework and got a VacMaster Pro 350, seemed a good fit to start with. I am not going into the pros and cons, nor the features but I will tell you the Lisa w/ Vacuum sealers Unlimited ( a site sponsor) did me a great service and told me what I needed instead of what I wanted. LOL
Look at what this baby does and this is just my first job with it.
Sausages? I did get better BTW....
1 lb. to 1.3 lb bags all
Yes, I did also make andouille too.
So much fun! I must make more so I can bag and tag it! Question does anyone here use sticky backed tags?
It certainly makes the amount made look smaller....
That's it, I just wanted to share with those of you who would really appreciate my new Christmas toy!
I am thinking slicer next, but that 5 lb stuffer is seeming small these days....LOL
Thank for sharing with me and Merry Christmas to all.
