Looking to start smoking

Discussion in 'Roll Call' started by badbobsbbq, Sep 11, 2014.

  1. Hey group. I'm Bob from Homestead, Fl. I've been wanting to get into smoking for some time and recently acquired an old 80 gallon air compressor tank to build one. I used to weld railroad tank cars so I know I can do the welding and fab work. I just lack the knowledge on smokers. I've been reading threads on this site for a few days now, so I figured I'd join and post my build and hopefully get some help along the way. Thanks in advance.

Hey Bob, welcome to SMF!  I can't help you with the build but you've come to the right place.  Lots of folks here with the skills.  Looking forward to seeing your smoky creation when it is finished!

    Glad you're here.

    Welcome from Canada, Bob.

It appears you are already reading stuff from the Builds Forum. I am not an expert on builds and anything I weld is doomed to come a part but if you post a question you are likely to get some good answers.

I look forward to your posts.
