Hi folks. My name is Tom. I'm a native New Yorker but have lived in Fort Worth for the last 17 years. Of course living in Texas I have had my share of BBQ and have been dabbling with smoking meats over the years. I have recently been using my neighbors pit smoker and love it. I came across this forum a couple of weeks ago and was inspired by atcnick and his cedar smokehouse build. Here is my project so far. I have never attempted anything like this before so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a beautiful sunny, windy and cold day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
