I have a question,
Would a magnet thermonitor work on my grill ??
Steve, I think you should be posting that in the Charcoal forum, or somewhere over here:
I already know your grill, but I'm not sure about the magnetic thermometer? You need to take measurements of the temps as close to the cooking surface as possible, so a magnetic thermo attached to the outside of the grill? I don't think there would be any benefit there.
I would recommend you go to amazon and search this term "2" river country adjustable thermometer" and consider that one. It is adjustable so you can make it accurate and it mounts by drilling a hole and tightening a nut around the stem.
I realize that not everyone has the tools and is comfortable drilling holes into their smokers, so perhaps one would consider a Maverick dual probe unit. There are two here. http://www.amazenproducts.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=40
I own the ET-732 and I love it!
Hello and good afternoon, never used a magnetic A magnetic is only going to give you the temp of whatever you stick it to not the inside temp of the CC
Thank you for the feed back, as I'm still new at this
and I didn't know that there was a separate post for people that only uses charcoal grills
Thank you again
Ok Steve. There is a lot here, so no problem at all.
