29 Palms, CA.
I have a couple of Masterbuilt electric smokers I have used for years. They work well but do not produce much smoke at low temperatures. I recently purchased a Traeger and have produced good results with St. Louis ribs, Sirloin Tip roast, Tri Tip and whole chickens.
I also love smoked macaroni and cheese with bacon, onion and jalapeno. I have also smoked brie that came out very good.

Hi and Welcome!
Yeah, 29 Palms, pass through on my way to Parker Strip on the Colorado Reever.
MES smokers are very anemic at smoking below 225, in my limited experience. So many, me included, modify and or add in an AMNPS to use pellets, dust, or a combo to get the smoke on.
One Daughter and her Hubby have a Treager. They seem to love it. Although, oddly enough, they don't like smoked anything. One of his friends gave them their Treager.
Anyway, moving to AZ? Take me with you!

Welcome to the site. Lots of MES and Traeger users on site to help if you have any questions.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a cloudy and warm day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
