ECB too hot

  1. Hi all,

I have 1 chimney of Royal Oak lump in my ECB. It has been going for 30 minutes, and still 305 degrees. The charcoal is in a pile. Should I spread it out in the charcoal pan? Will it cool down that way? Or will the coals go out if I do that?

    THANKS!

  2. I have not made any mods. I definitely don't want it any hotter!

  3. Anybody else? Is it best to keep the charcoal in a pile, or spread it out in the bottom of the charcoal pan?

    Thanks!

    Thanks!
