Calling all UDS Owners

I am seriously considering building a UDS since I have 90% of the parts in my backyard....two things ........ I do not recall anyone using a water pan...can one be used and are there any absolutes like how many vents.....how high up from the bottom do they go or how from the top do the grilles go...well you get the picture........any help would be appreciated........Thanks

i will be using a water pan in mine. there are no absolutes either. build it the way you want it, then modify that design over time. good luck!
