My name is Norm and I live in southern Ontario.

Just bought my first smoker, it's a Cookmaster by Masterbuilt. I opted for the propane model 20050511. I primarily bought the smoker to use at the trailer, but figured I would take some time over the winter to "practice".

I did a couple of 4 pound chickens last weekend and they turned out great, this weekend I am going to try a pork loin.

I'm sure I will have lots of questions while I'm learning

Welcome ,Norm ,to the SMF. Glad to have ya!

You're doing your learning in a good way, with easy(less expensive meats). You'll love the Loin ,cooked to 185° to 190° will get it to a good slicing texture.

Be sure to send Q-view of your smokes ...and your equip. - and why not of you and your's. We like to be friends here...

Have a Happy Holiday Season , and...
