A couple of weeks ago I asked a question about how to clean the greasy build up on the inside of my equipment. I got a lot of really great suggestions on what to use and what not to use.

In the meantime, I emailed Weber products for their input. They promptly responded with a suggestion of an environmentally safe product called "Simple Green Degreaser". The folks at Weber said it will remove the grease without leaving any chemical residue that is left by other cleaners. This stuff has been around for many years and I had totally forgotten about it. I raced to my local Ace Hardware and bought some.

Well, let me tell you, this stuff works wonders. It took off the nastiest gunk in only 2 applications. The first ap was good, but I'm a little OCD and did a second ap just to make sure.

So, if you have any desires to degrease your grills or smokers, you got to try this stuff.

Just my two cents.

I agree. Simple Green is great stuff. It's non toxic and bio-degradable. I used to use it at a place I worked to clean my cofee cups and lunch dished.(diluted of course) And I use it all the time now due to a 1 1/2 year old who's allergic to everything.
