12th Annual South Florida Gathering - December 1-3, 2023 - Pictures Added

Our 12th (13th year) Gathering will be December 1-3, 2023 at Highland Hammock State Park (Sebring, FL) with the main day being Saturday the 2nd.

Events (all optional and not taken too seriously, all times below are open for change) :
- Welcome Weenie Roast
- Keiths famous ham and sides provided by others
- Family style Potluck, Saturday ~5-6pm
- Fun & Friendly Rib Competition on Saturday ~5pm (before it gets dark)
- Cocktail competition Saturday ~3pm
- Games and camaraderie all all the time, if you have a favorite game or activity please bring it (examples: Cornhole/BagToss, ring toss, horseshoes, etc.....)

And man, oh man all those shorts and t-shirts.....I'm gelly for sure, but I know I know.... I choose to live in a place we snow.... Its warming up a bit now but had 4 inches in the yard yesturday.....

Here is a photo dump from pictures that i took during the weekend! I'm glad my neighbors, Russ and Libby Mills got to come down for this event and even just the comps! My girlfriend miranda learned alot and really enjoyed the pigshot making process as well! Hanna "Nanner" was pooped from a long weekend of eating scraps

Great looking group and the food...WOW! I bet y'all had folks from all over the camp ground wandering by like Yogi Bear following a picnic basket! I think I could do away with a tray of the pig shots!

He said he will be back next year.

The buffet table was awesome.
I sampled a few to give my opinion.
Don's beans are awesome. No question why they are Charlotte's favorite side.





The rice dish was awesome

Jeramy made a street taco rib that was truly unique.

Do we start planning/booking for next year the first week of Jan The state park system doesnt let you book more than 11 months ahead of time

But also now the state paks are giving Fl. residents first choice by letting reservations be made 11 months in advance. Where out of staters can only book 10 months... Of coarse you have to show proof of residency...

But I say yes... Sooner the better... This time I will make sure I put in for PTO well in advance...

Side note... The new reservations deal for floridians makes you verify your residency before you can make reservations... It's not a quick deal verifying... Keep refreshing...
Lets get reservations in before it opens to non residence ...
