Hello from Arkansas

Hey everyone,
Just got started smoking today, first smoke still going on, I have been lurking here for a while and learned a lot, but had a rough start on my first smoke, see my post in the pork forum for more info on that.

To introduce myself, I just bought my first house moved in last friday and currently working on my first smoke of some BBs. I have a WSM and so far like it a lot, very easy to control temps on when you leave the lid on it...but also easy to get them back down when you do not leave the lid on it.

Here where I am in arkansas there is some good bbq around, not to far from memphis but I always find it is much more fun to do it yourself and you can enjoy it more.

Hope to get to know some of yall and continue learning on this great art.

As I have already welcomed you, Mr. / Mrs. Fluffy, I will say this: I have found my recovery time on the WSM about 5 minutes or less when smoking. That is an awesome smoker to a degree & also, congratulations on your home purchase.
