Hello all. This is my first post. I have been qing for over forty years but have only been smoking for about two. I am from South Louisiana (Gonzales, Louisiana-Jambalaya Capitol of the World). I have been lurking around on this forum for a while but was having problems with the sign up for the forum. An emsil to Jeff cured the problem.

I love to bbq and smoke and also love cooking Jambalaya over a wood fire. Also love fishing and tailgating for LSU football and baseball games. I am looking forward to being with this forum and all the info on smoking tat I can get.

I have a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker, a brinkman ECB, An outdoor Gourmet gas grill and a number of outdoor burners and pot for turkey frying, crawfish boiling and other outdoor cooking.

this is the place to learn all about cooking on the low and slow!
i can't decide wether to boil crawfish tomorrow or smoke some ribs and some wicked beans.
 
First off welcome Cecil to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
