Im from southern Indiana and am somewhat new to this site. I actually started reading it a few years ago when I first got smoker(Chargrill off-set w/ some mods I learned here). I smoke every chance I get sun,rain,snow..anything short of Armageddon. Im fairly confident with butts, ribs, and "drunken chickens". Ive developed my own rub and sauce to my own likings. I just wanted to say that site is absolutely amazing. There is more than enough information on here to make anyone an amazing bbqer if they want. I work with a couple guys that are about once a month warriors and they are amazed about my knowledge, which I wouldn't have hardly any if it wasn't for the awesome people on not afraid to share their secrets.I am getting ready to start my own build and I have just saturated my brain with very helpful info on this for the last 5 hours in the new build threads. Im very excited about starting this build. Its gonna be an off-set. It will be rectangle shape and after following bbq e's build Im considering insulating at least the cooking chamber. It just all depends on what I can afford. Im looking forward to start and post pics and get some feedback from all the experts. Happy Q'n!

Welcome sir!

Where in southern IN? If you arent too far, I might possibly be able to lend a hand on your build if needed.. I'm closing in on halfway through mine..

You'll love this place for sure!

Welcome aboard Garrett!

Know that what ever it costs to insulate your chamber.. you will get back in piece of mind and no-hassle for years to come - DO IT NOW!. I'm a big fan of BBQ-E and superwool! Insulated mine AFTER building it, AFTER one of the coldest, longest winters we've had in a long time... and it was a pain in the A$$!

My $.02

Good to have ya, looking forward to your build pictures.

Welcome to SMF. These guys are great! I'm north of you about 50 miles - glad to see another Hoosier on here. Boiler Up!
