Hello from North of the border

Thread Starter
Hello all!!! Greetings from North of the border in Ontario Canada

I am a long time BBQ'er with a beginner/general level of smoking knowledge

I have had the pleasure of hanging around with a great group of guys out in my home area who do BBQ catering and a few competitions which has helped me learn a fair amount but not alot of hands on. I think my highlight was heading down to check out the Jack, making new friends in Tullahoma and Lynchburg and seeing the real deal.

I really want to learn alot more, and from what I have seen looking through these forums I seem to have found the right place

Keep up the great work guys and gals!! I will be posting very soon

Welcome to SMF, Glad to have you with us. This is the place to learn, lots of good info and helpful friendly Members.

For those of you new to Smoking, be sure to check out Jeff's 5 Day Smoking Basics eCourse.
Click Here it's "FREE" ... 5 Day eCourse

I Would Highly Suggest Reading these posts on Food Safety by bbally.

This thread will tell you basically everything you need to know and the man explaining it is
both a ServSafe Instructor and a HACCP Instructor.

Here you can get the 2009 USDA Food Safety Guide from his site.

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

You came to the wrong place. "Abandon all hope, Ye who enter here."

I used to be a normal person until I joined this forum. Now, I just want to smoke everything, even laundrybiggrin.gif Wife says "Gotta wash these clothes." Me reply; "Lets just put them in the smoker for 2-3 hrs, it'll kill the germs!

Run away as fast as you can, these people will get you, and you will never be the same.

As a fellow Canuck, I'm trying to help. I'm finished, but there is still hope for you. Run. Run like the wind!

Welcome aboard. This is a great place to be.PDT_Armataz_01_34.gif
