So I added a 12 volt battery to the rig so I could add some neon to the undercarraige of the rig for the Havabbq contest.

This got me to thinking that with it I have more probe options.

So today I order a 220 F pyrometer (normally on a diesel truck exhaust manifold) for my firebox. And two transmission temperature probes for my cooking chambers.

They are inexpensive at under a hundred each. I will post pictures when I get them and mount them up.

Sounds interesting I'll be looking forward to more of this one
