I know it's only $25, but if they're junk I don't want to waste the money

Dude I got one of these years ago for Xmas. Although a pretty cheap model, I have never had a thing go wrong with it. And I have sliced many a roast with it. I use it quite often for slicing frozen meat for uniform slices of jerky. That blade is dang sharp! Plus craiglist price is right.

dude -

i don't have a craigslist account, but i've been wanting to get a slicer and this looks to be alright.

if you decide to order one, maybe we can work out a way for me to get one as well and i could paypal you the money, or something.

Love mine. I paid like 50-60 when I first moved out on my own. Kinda chintzy but still works like a charm, the blade stays sharp, and it comes all the way apart easy enough. Compared to the ones I used when I worked in a super market deli, you can't fine tune the slice thickness as much (Like my ham THIN! beef THICK!.. again, chintzy plastic). But the fact that it "field strips" faster than an AR15 , and that most of it is dishwasher safe makes cleaning them not nearly as much as a hassle as the big commercial ones I used to use. Cleaning those was an exercise in suck.

I have a black Toastmaster brand slicer that otherwise looks identical to the Rival model on craigslist. Mine is still going strong after 20-odd years of slicing frozen venison roasts for jerky. I would jump on it if I needed one.
