I've picked up some great tips browsing this site, so signed on just now. I smoked occasionally on a Brinkman charcoal, but it was such a pain in a lot of ways--I'm female and a bit lazy, I guess. All that charcoal, the cleanup after...And then there was the time I burned the garbage can down, even though the coals were three days cold, I thought...So just bought a new Brinkman electric, it's a piece of cake. Did a pork butt last weekend, pretty good, the guests devoured it down to the bone. Now I'm ready to try some different things, and will look forward to reading your posts, learning from your expertise, and maybe asking a few questions. I've just put a 3.5 pound beef chuck on, to eat after the Belmont, will see how that turns out, and tomorrow a whole chicken, marinating now with garlic and herbs from the garden. Thanks for all the great information you have on this site. Cheers!
