Greetings from Maine. Dan here and as all others I've read posted here, have got the smokin' itch. My squeeze bought me an ECB a month back and I have been playing the old trial and error game ever since. With the help of the forums, things have been turning out quite well and really enjoy all the input people post on this sight.
Any thoughts on smoking lobster, family is already asking that one.

I asked that question early into my life on this forum as well. What I've learned is that is has to be out of the shell (like a tail) and you need to use a mild wood like apple.

TIP: Take a bamboo skewer (soaked in warm water for at 1/2 hour to 1 hour) and stick it into the large round end of the meat and push through the meat the long way so it sticks out the back end of the tail.

This will keep it even and prevent it from curling up.

Oh and I just looked this up.

Smoked lobster..........................................g ez man i'm land locked like know other and you had to go there. I'm jealous. Great smokes ahead.
