This is slightly off topic but still about cooking. I've narrowed down my choices for my built-in grill to the following brands (not necessarly in order):
Lynx
FireMagic
Alfresco
BBQ Galore Turbo

All are pretty good quality although the Lynx is the only one with brass burners, the others are SS. Anyone have any experience or know anythig about these brands so I can get an independent review instead of the store peoples?

Griller I ain't heard of one of those puppies. SOO many grills out there...

Hmm is brass bad for a burner? Seems like it would last as long as the body does.

I have a stainless body grill... with a bad regulator. For a year. Hah... I use an old gasser converted to charcoal for grilling now.

I should off the propane one.

Sorry, not familair with the brands either.

I did some looking into grills last season and from what I understand, cast brass burners are second only to cast stainless. Usually, the stainless burners are tubes, which will need replacement over time. They probably last years, but the cast brass will last forever with a little cleaning now and then.

I bought a generic named grill (Permasteel) from BJs last year ($899) because it had all the features as high end grills. 104,000 total BTUs, 5 - cast brass burners, IR rotisserie and searing burners, side burner. Cover is double layered ss and all the seams are welded. Grill tops are 1/4" solid SS rod. Drip tray pulls out the front (like a drawer). Lots of cabinet space and nothing on it will rust or corrode. With a couple mods I can now smoke with it. So I think it comes down to features for the $$$.

I'm sure you'll pick out a beauty and be like a kid at Christmas time
